STOCKBROKING SERVICES

After 27 years as a stockbroker Marcus and his Team are now offering their Full Service and other stockbroking services to subscribers through Patersons Securities.

This is a separate business to Marcus Today. Marcus and his broking team are authorised representatives of Patersons Securities, now the second largest Private Client Broker in Australia.

We are now offering the following services to subscribers.

The Team:

Marcus Padley – Marcus has been a stockbroker since leaving Law School in 1982. He has a Masters of Applied Finance degree from Macquarie University, a Law Degree from Southampton University and is a prize winner in Applied Portfolio Management. He is also Derivatives qualified and a Master Stockbroking member of the Securities and Derivatives Investment Association and a former associate of the Australian stock exchange. Marcus is also the owner and author of the Marcus Today stockmarket newsletter and a private client stockbroker with 16 years experience advising institutional clients in the UK and Australia. He has been advising private investors since 1998. Marcus writes weekly stockmarket articles in The Age and the Sydney Morning Herald as well as the WA News. He is a columnist in the Personal Finance columns of Yahoo, an expert analyst on the ABC TV’s Inside Business program, a regular contributor on the ABC TV’s Lateline Business, does a daily market spot on the ABC’s 774 National Radio, as well as appearances on Channel Nine News. He is a public speaker and daily contributor to Crikey.com, The Eureka Report, The West.com.au and the Fairfax Business website as well as a regular “tipster” in the Herald Sun.

Sam Fimis – Sam has been a contributor to the Marcus Today Stockmarket newsletter and a stockbroker since leaving university. He has completed a Bachelor of Legal Studies (major in international business law) and Economics (major in financial markets) and was awarded the Dean’s Commendation award in recognition of academic excellence in Economics. He holds a RG146 accreditation and has appeared on ABC TV’s Lateline Business, Channel Nine News and ABC’s 774 National Radio. He is also a regular expert tipster in the Sunday Herald Sun.

Meagan Green - Meagan is also a contributor the the Marcus Today newsletter and holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science with a major in finance and since 2005 has worked as a business investment analyst in the US and Australia. Meagan holds a RG146 accreditation. She is also an accomplished Basketball player having been awarded a Colonial Athletic Association Scholarship to Virginia Commonwealth University in the USA and twice named to the conference All-Academic Team.

Felicity Bing – Felicity has 11 years of industry experience in Australian and overseas equities. Prior to joining Patersons, Felicity spent four years at Nomura International in London working within a team of 25 supporting six traders, four sales traders and a sales force of fifteen covering US, Canadian, Global Emerging markets, Asian, European and Australasian markets. Before working at Nomura, Felicity worked with Merrill Lynch, Johnson Taylor Potter and Bell Potter Securities assisting a team including the Perth (WA) office manager, the Head of Wealth Management (Aust), Institutional Dealer and two Private Client advisers. Felicity holds the RG146 accreditation.

FULL SERVICE BROKING

There are different levels of Full Service broking, we offer a few:

ACCOLADE PLUS – WE LOOK AFTER YOUR PORTFOLIO FOR YOU - The ultimate in Full Service solutions for private clients with $250,000 or more in equity investments – We look after and make changes to your portfolio within an agreed mandate set by you. You don’t have to do anything. My team sit together daily and using a Trading Plan constantly assess all client portfolios and make changes.

INVESTING AND TRADING - We manage your portfolio on a medium/long term time frame with stock selection managed by the Marcus Today Team.

You can also allocate a portion you would like to trade with.

Investment will be handled by the Marcus Today team using a structured method of investment including fundamental filters and a disciplined post purchase system embodied in a Trading Plan.

Administration is handled by Felicity Bing.

You get 24/7 web access to your account and portfolio and all trades are emailed to you immediately they are executed. We have a strict compliance committee that looks over our shoulder all day to ensure we operate within your mandate. On top of that you have complete transparency and are free to call us at any time with your own ideas/trades/opinions. We will accommodate you, but you will also know that if you don't want to be involved things will happen, trades will be done and your money is being managed whilst you relax and watch.

Zero commission on trades under the Accolade Plus Structure which removes the issue of doing trades for the sake of commission and perfectly aligns our interests with yours. If your portfolio grows so do our fees. Fees charged quarterly.

Features:

• Includes initial portfolio assessment and consultation at which we agree the mandate for our management of your portfolio.
• We then manage the portfolio within our investment process and your guidelines.
• Trading handled by Tony and Marco if requested.
• Includes Portfolio Administration - All Administration done for you. Features include Live Tax Reports and 24/7 on-line access to portfolio reports.
• You can also trade with us outside the mandated portfolio on your own ideas. Just call us.

Fees:

• Charged quarterly as a % of funds (note: it is in both our interests to grow your funds).
• Zero commission on trades within the mandate (no trading unless necessary).
• Commission payable on trades outside mandate.

Just the Administration:

• ACCOLADE - Includes the administration package plus plain vanilla broking - meaning we have no discretion to trade without contacting you. Minimum $250,000 in equity investments for administration package customers. Click here for a flyer on the Administration Package.

PLAIN VANILLA BROKING

PLAIN VANILLA SOLUTION - This is the typical Broker solution - We look after you and make changes to your portfolio in consultation with you. Choice of fee structure. This Solution can be taken with or without an Administration package.

Features:

• Includes initial portfolio assessment and consultation.
• We then manage the portfolio with you – we put ideas to you on an on-going basis - nothing happens without making contact with you.
• We also suggest trading ideas using our investment process which we will explain on application.

Fees:

• Your choice – Either a % per annum or Commission on trades – up to you.
• If you choose the administration option then you pay Administration fees as a % and lower Commissions on trades.

SOPHISTICATED INVESTORS

SOPHISTICATED INVESTOR PROGRAM – If you qualify we will refer you to two of our colleagues who will add you to their growing list of sophisticated investors and contact you with private placements from Patersons Securities. Patersons did more corporate deals by number in 2007 than any other broker. It costs you nothing to set up an account and most of the time it costs you nothing to participate in the deal.
